PLEASE NOTE: If you are purchasing a 24V motor kit, you will need two 12V batteries connected in series to give 24V (don't worry, there's really specific information about connecting up your batteries at installation time) If you're purchasing the 36V motor kit, you'll need three 12V batteries connected in series to give 36V. As the notation reveals we don't recommend you purchase 3 x 17AH batteries for your 36V kit, as this will start to concentrate quite a bit of weight in one place, depending on where you put the third battery. SLA Batteries (Sealed Lead Acid Batteries)These batteries are the same type of battery found in automobiles (please read the section "All about Batteries" on the right-hand menu) They are of the AGM (absorbent glass mat) electrolyte type. Ni-MH BatteriesA more expensive battery which will last far longer than an SLA battery (please read the section "All about Batteries" on the right-hand menu)
