Sealed Lead Acid Batteries (SLA)

VERY IMPORTANT:

• Always charge your batteries back up IMMEDIATELY after each use
• Never run your batteries completely flat !

How to get the maximum life out of your SLA batteries:

• The life of your batteries is closely linked to the depth of discharge.
  As soon as you arrive at your destination, start to recharge your batteries without hesitation : of course there will be some places where this just isn't possible, but with some investigation and persistence you should be able to make an arrangement at the following places:
  Place of work  |  friends and relatives  |  for a small fee at a service station/garage at the end of your outward trip on a day's outing etc...
• SLA batteries should never be run completely flat, since this will damage them and reduce their life expectancy.

Remember that Automobiles also use SLA batteries to start the car's engine and it's quite normal for such a battery to last 3 to 5 years or longer...  Why??? - as soon as the car engine fires up, the amount discharged is soon replaced and the battery brought to a full charge again.
